Has Supreme Court Already Said A Fetus is a Person?

First, the Jester has been away, and then had some format problems with Google + and this blog-- the plus apparently standing for added trouble.  Second, since the presidential race has been so bizarre, it has hard to make fun of it since it became self satirizing.

Today the Pro Life forces have come up with yet another strategy. They have tried every conceivable [pun alert] method of chipping away at Roe v. Wade from requiring framed sonograms be given to the mother before abortions in an album entitled "Baby's First Pictures", to requiring mothers to get signed releases from the fetus.

Now, concentrating on the logic of the infamous Citizens United case, in which the Supreme Court ruled that corporations were people with constitutional rights to robocall you at dinner (boding ill for the constitutionality of don't call list laws); the anti-abortion forces have reexamined Webster's dictionary.  After all, if Daniel Webster could succeed in the Dartmouth College case, why can't Noah Webster or Merriam Webster be the victor in the next big challenge, bringing John Marshall's successor John Roberts to tears as Webster did Marshall with the paraphrase ""a small zygote, and yet there are those who love it."

Answers.com defines corporation here as: "Informal. A protruding abdominal region;.."  If the fourth definition of "corporation" is a protruding abdominal region, then a fetus is a corporation, and has constitutional rights!

Newt Gingrich has backtracked from his derogatory comment about those who speak "the language of the ghetto."  The term "Ghetto" Professor For Life Emeritus Gingrich points out refers to medieval Jewish enclaves.  The group he meant to insult was not Spanish speakers but those who use Ladino and Yiddish in their daily transactions --and they are not likely to be Republicans-- his supporters the Adelsons being Jews who speak English. It is not clear how Gingrich plans to help Jews in the Ghetto acculturate themselves.  Perhaps he will ask you and I to help them out--and in order to identify those in need of our assistance have them wear a yellow armband with some symbol on it.

The comment that Obama is a "food stamp president" reminds us that he is in a great Democratic tradition, because stamp collecting was FDR's hobby.
Did any of FDR's political opponents engage in attack ads accusing him of being a philatelist?
